“L’esportazione dei prodotti agroalimentari. Hong Kong HUB per la Cina” is the title of a workshop to be held Wednesday 18th September at 9:30 a.m. at the Sala Verde of Chamber of Commerce of Bari, organized by Italo Orientale Chamber of Commerce, with the collaboration of the Apulia Region – Policy for Rural Development Food Security, HKTDC, Italy Hong Kong Association, Cathay Pacific and the Law Firm De Bedin & Lee, which will take a part also the companies of the economic mission "Apulia Food Orient 2013," that ended with great success.
For the occasion, the entrepreneurs will tell the positive experience they have, that have given them concrete contacts, so reaching the project's objectives, in other words to promote understanding, consumption and the special health properties of fine Italian products, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, in the Hong Kong market that represents a strategic hub to sell in China and all Asian countries.
Key point of the event was the participation in the Food Expo, from 15th to 17th August, an important international exhibition dedicated to agri-food sector, where the Italo Orientale Chamber of Commerce and companies have had the opportunity to be present with a booth and in the Trade Hall, and in the two areas of passage of the public Hall (Area Gourmet and Premium Product), allowing them to have more visibility.
In the days of the stay, the participants in the mission were the protagonists with their products of different activities including: a tasting dinner in one of the finest Italian restaurants in Hong Kong and a cooking show at the fair, during which buyers, opinion leaders, journalists, bloggers and personalities of the Italian community were able to taste the delicacies offered for special occasions.
The events organized by the Italo Orientale Chamber of Commerce for this mission, already in its second edition in the territory, have been highly appreciated by companies, that through the scheduled rendezvous, had the opportunity to get in touch with buyers in the sector and to test directly the consumers attracted by the Italian Food.
The presence in Hong Kong confirmed, once again, that the made in Italy appears to be among the most popular for the quality, contributing to the full achievement of expected, so that entrepreneurs, satisfied with the organization, they want to repeat the experience for the next event.
